ICCC Student Resource Center

Project Specifications
Description:New construction, 30,091 SF
Timeline:Completed 2010
Location:Fort Dodge, IA

Early planning on the Resource Center called for carbon neutrality and integrated rooftop windmills. Preliminary energy studies found the payback on windmills would not be cost effective, however, the project maintains many sustainable technologies.  These include daylight harvesting, occupancy sensors and use of a man made pond for geothermal purposes which also enhances the campus environment. The facility acts as a pit stop for food, entertainment and student information services.  It consolidates many functions under one roof, affording the college more instruction space and better performance in their existing buildings.
