“The 3P event was extremely helpful in understanding first the utilization of the space so that it can be developed meaningfully and with buy-in by the end-users. After experiencing this type of process, I can’t imagine another way to better design functional work space. This type of event is an investment in creating an outstanding product and I do recommend it highly.”

Bergland + Cram, in partnership with Boulder Associates Architects, has designed a new Family Medicine Center for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.  Originally proposed for the University’s Hawkeye Campus, the 45,000 SF flagship clinic would be a state-of-the-art environment for physicians to enhance wellness and for continuing education support. Planned as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), the layout encourages team approaches to care, standardization of work, and lifestyle teaching.

A week long 3P Lean Design planning event kicked off the design process, culminating in a life size mock up and real time staff process simulations of all key clinic areas.
