Scott Smed and Randy Cram of Bergland + Cram, along with Stacey Root of Boulder Associates, work through their initial schematic designs in preparation for an upcoming 3P/Lean Planning Event for the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics. PRODUCTION, PREPARATION, and PROCESS are the cornerstones of this advanced Lean approach to design. Next month, a week long work session will be held to further develop the new 55,000 SF Melrose Family Medicine Center in Iowa City. The clinic is set to become a new standard in care and potential model for future medical facilities on campus and throughout the region.
