Principal / Interior DesignerHe has a personal interest in music as a collector of records and concert tickets (he’s probably been to more than you). Scott has experience in all areas of our design work, along with his expertise in interiors. One of his favorite projects was assisting with the restoration of the Historic Park Inn Hotel.

Project ManagerHer love for architecture goes back to childhood, sketching buildings everywhere she went. Compelled by nature and art, the things people create influence her as a designer. Along with her architectural knowledge Alex brings engineering and communication skills to the team.

His abilities offer understanding and direction in tandem, allowing us to express project intent, address client goals, and provide clear construction details and drawings.

Business ManagerChristy is the bright, friendly face greeting you at the front door. Her expertise in business operations allows us to better serve our clients and keep us all moving forward. She is always willing to help and completes our team by focusing on the important intersection between the numbers and the people.

Principal / ArchitectRoof expert and teller of dad jokes. Doug has assisted on a majority of the firm’s larger projects since joining B+C in 2001. Besides roof projects Doug has experience in civic, healthcare and wellness facilities. His aptitude for software and network support bring another level of technical precision to the firm.

Marketing + CommunicationsAlways up for a staff social and full of wild ideas. With a graphic design background, Sarah helps us visually communicate our services and projects at various stages of development. She also provides design direction to clients for logos, signage, and custom elements. Sarah is our go to for special projects involving staff and public engagement.

Project ManagerAbby Klostermann is our newest team member, just completing her Bachelors Degree in Architecture from ISU. She is a valuable resource in project collaboration from conceptualization, design renderings, and client meetings, bringing a fresh new perspective on projects and other aspects within the office.

Principal / ArchitectAsk Andy about airplanes and pumpkin farming… two of his regular hobbies. Andy heads a variety of project types including residential, senior living and commercial. His broad range of skills and mindful approach helps in all areas of our work and daily operations of the firm.

PrincipalKristy works on the beginning stages of many projects to mobilize momentum including providing schematic design direction, program scope and initial layouts, cost estimates, and overall planning strategies with committees large and small. Her unique background in architecture as well as marketing gives her the ability to help clients get projects up and running. She is our brand guardian, both inside and outside the firm.

Senior ArchitectScott Smed has worked extensively on nearly all of Bergland + Cram’s major education and healthcare projects since 1980. His design and project management skills guarantee B+C projects will run smoothly from initial design to project completion. His attention to detail gives each project a distinctive identity without sacrificing the project budget.

Project Manager / Interior DesignerDana brings a background as a licensed Interior Designer to her project management skills on healthcare and commercial projects. Working closely and skillfully with our project consultants and engineers, as well as our team, Dana is able to approach project delivery with an eye on both the big picture and the smallest of details to create compelling design solutions.

Senior ArchitectKen Wind serves as head specification writer for the firm. Ken’s interest in a variety of diverse project types has allowed the firm to expand its client base since he joined in 1996. His graphic and design skills help to communicate ideas with owners while his certification in LEED enhances the firm’s commitment to sustainable and energy efficient design.

Summer InternJoe has swan-dived (or belly-flopped?) right into projects this summer, helping streamline our process and getting real world experience with architecture projects. Joe will be heading back to ISU this Fall as a Architecture student.
