“ It has been a wonderful opportunity to do something extremely gratifying in creating an attractive, green place for students to learn and staff to work.”
Dr. Dan Kinney, President
Iowa Central Community College

Newly complete, the BioScience and Health Sciences Building is the first LEED Gold certified community college project in the State of Iowa.  Situated on the Iowa Central Community College campus in Fort Dodge, the project utilizes many sustainable technologies such as a geo-thermal rainwater retention pond.  The pond is shared with the adjacent Student Resource Center project, creating a new outdoor element for the campus.

Classroom and laboratory space for a variety of disciplines such as radiography, chemistry, and microbiology co-exist with a large auditorium lecture hall.  Acting as the new flagship on campus, the BioScience Center demonstrates Iowa Central’s commitment to state-of-the-art education.  The college hopes the facility will be a key element in helping to recruit talented students and faculty members.
